Retched ceiling lights in the most peculiar location
Decor Items all resting on the floor
Lack of colour scheme

Painting the entire room the same colour, and given the saturation of the floors, going for a neutral white is the best option
Smoothing out the ceiling and removing those awful lighting fixtures
Bringing the decor off the floor and adding layers with plants and height
Grounding the space with a an rug that plays to the newly established earthy colour scheme
